We are hoping to have the community radio station in Wahta up and running by early summer. The project is being funded by the owner of Barrie's Rock 95 and Energy 107.5, Doug Bingley as part of his CRTC licencing requirements.
Doug is also helping with radio stations in neighbouring narive communities. This commitment includes startup assistance and covering some ongoing operating costs. Cal White has been hired to manage the station and is now doing groundwork including working on the CRTC application.
